My illustrator sent me the colored artwork for Chet III this afternoon. It depicts a twilight scene from the book and as a consequence it’s a dark, dramatic image. There are half a dozen changes that need to be made, but overall I’m incredibly pleased with the artwork and Brian’s execution of my vision. I can hardly wait to show it to you!

Chet III Status Update
It has been a long haul as my illustrator and I have worked through my vision of the cover for Chet III. After several versions and a host of tweaks, Brian has completed the sketch of the cover art and is now in process of painting the artwork.
It’s always a dramatic change as we go from the sketch to the colored artwork, so I don’t know if he’ll nail it on the first time out or not. Even if we have to make a few minor changes, I’m more excited than I can express to be so close to seeing the finished artwork.
